LETTING GO

Letting Go doesn’t mean to stop caring; it means I can’t do it for someone else.

Letting Go is not to cut myself off, but to realize that I can’t control another.

Letting Go is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.

Letting Go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.

Letting Go is not to try and change or blame another, but to make the most of myself.

Letting Go is not to care for, but to care about.

Letting Go is not to fix, but to support.

Letting Go is not to judge, but to let others be themselves.

Letting Go is not to arrange outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies.

Letting Go is not to be protective, but to allow others to face reality.

Letting Go is not to deny, but to accept.

Letting Go is not to nag, scold or argue, but to search my own shortcomings and correct them.

Letting Go is not to adjust everything to my desires but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

Letting Go is not to criticise and regulate anybody, but to try and become what I dream I can be.

Letting Go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live in the present moment.

Letting Go is to fear less and to love more.

These are words from Yunjana. I am often distracted when I am researching, and I found a website Yoga to Health. And as you do, I copied, pasted and saved these words for another day. That was in 2017 … Does anyone else do that? Download, save, forget and then stumble on the file when you are looking for something else!

I have been doing alot of personal work over the last couple of years around letting go of expectations, being mindful and staying present. Sometimes I am super at it, othertimes not so. I would love to know what your thoughts are about Letting Go, comment below. If you feel that a friend would benefit from reading these words, share this post with them. OM xx
