Inspirational Words: A List of the “Don’ts and Do’s” to See You Through
SELF-LOVE + EMPOWERMENT is the space where you can come for those times on your personal development journey when you feel lost, lacking focus, or triggered, or your ‘self-talk’ leaves you feeling unworthy, when you need to hear something wise, uplifting, and inspirational as a reminder that you are a miracle and deserve to be the best for yourself and those you love.
This is also a space for those times when you aspire to something greater, a dream or goal and vision of your future that is different from your reality today. Use these words to empower yourself to overcome the challenges and make the changes to realise your dreams.
I encourage you to read the words, reflect on them and journal the emotions that bubble to the surface for you. Too often, we let the negativity fester, bringing us down. It’s okay to have what I call a ‘pity party’; just give it a time frame, one hour, one day, or one week, and use that time to explore and process what you need to. Seek out support and professional help if you need it.
A List of the “Don’ts and Do’s” to See You Through

Don’t ever stop dreaming your dreams; they’re a very essential part of you.
Do whatever you can to make them a reality by the course you take, the plans, you make an all the things you do.
Don’t dwell on past mistakes; leave yesterday behind you — along with any of its problems, worries, and doubt.
Do realise you can’t change the past, but just ahead is the future — and you can do something about that.
Don’t try to accomplish everything at once; life can be difficult enough — without adding frustration to the list.
Do travel one step at a time, and reach for one goal at a time. That’s the way to find out what real accomplishment is.
Don’t be afraid to do the impossible, even if others don’t think you’ll succeed.
Do remember that history is filled with those incredible accomplishments of those who were foolish enough … to believe.
Don’t forget that there are so many things that are wonderful, rare, and unique about you.
And do remember that if you can search within and find a smile… that smile will always be a reflection of the way people feel … about you.

I quite often get called a dreamer, and as a child I was told to ‘get my head out of the clouds’. I like being a dreamer, I like having big goals, doing things my way. I do back it up with action and am delighted when one of my dreams comes true and a goal is achieved. In fact, I am more excited when someone I love achieves a goal or lives out their dreams. If you are a little shy in going for your dreams, know that I will believe in you until you can believe in yourself. Share your reflections in the comments. I would love to hear how the words resonate with you.
Remember, when you fall in love with yourself, everything else falls into place.
