Superfood. Green and Reds. Why it's My Favourite Supplement and Should be Yours!

Nearly all of us need to eat more vegetables, especially our greens. In reality, over 90% of Australians and Americans don't meet their daily intake of vegetables! And it is impacting our health - negatively. Although we know this, eating our vegetables is still challenging for many of us. And unfortunately, even if you are eating mountains of veggies, you may still not be getting sufficient minerals and vitamins due to the depletion of nutrients in the soil they are grown. It won't be found in your food if it isn't found in the soil. Then, add the times you are stressed or not sleeping well, requiring more nutrients to function well that you aren't getting, and it becomes a vicious cycle of relying on stimulants such as caffeine and sugar to get you through your days. After a time, things like low energy, bloating, weight gain, brain fog, poor skin condition and inflammation become your normal. While I will always encourage you to eat whole real food with a focus on variety to meet your nutritional needs, sometimes this is not possible, and we do need to supplement. Cue in my favourite supplement, Superfood Green and Reds, that will give your body what it needs to thrive. A nutrient-dense blend of vegetables and fruits precisely formulated as a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can be taken as a drink or added to a smoothie as part of your daily routine.

What is Superfood Greens and Reds?

Superfood Greens and Reds is a comprehensive blend containing vitamin C, aloe, prebiotic fibres and 16 fruits and vegetables. It is a plant-based, keto-friendly powdered drink. It is free from preservatives, artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners.

The 16 greens and reds in Superfood Greens and Reds are soursop, spinach, carrots, broccoli, alfalfa, aloe, kale, prune, pomegranate, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, tart cherry, acerola cherry, elderberry and cranberry. Making it a supplement jammed packed with phytonutrients. And while phytonutrients are not essential to life, they will help you thrive and provide antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to help maintain glowing skin, eye health, and immune health and prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Why is it my favourite supplement to support health and well-being?

I like to keep things simple. However, I don't skimp on quality, especially the food and supplements we eat and use as a family. Regarding supplements, I take the time to research the companies. I want to know where the ingredients are sourced from, how they are processed, the company values and how they support the communities in which they work. I want to know that what I am choosing does what it promises! And it took me a while to find Superfood Greens and Reds.

I like that it is non-irradiated, meaning that the nutrient profile hasn't been negatively changed through processing. Most irradiated foods lose B vitamins.

Liver health is important to me. Superfood Greens and Red contains betaine, an amino acid that is a methyl donour meaning it aids in liver function, detoxification and cellular function. Betaine's most crucial role is to support the body in processing fats.

I understand that good health and well-being all begin with a healthy gut and the importance of fibre in our diets to support this. On average, we need at least 28 - 30g of fibre daily to support our digestive system. It is terrifying that a diet low in fibre may lead to constipation, haemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, overweight, obesity, diabetes, and bowel and breast cancer. I like knowing that not only am I getting the benefits of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, but Superfood Greens and Reds is contributing to my daily fibre intake by offering 4g of fibre per serving.

Superfood Greens and Red supports healthy cortisol levels, supporting good sleep and stress management.

Finally, I meet 67% of my daily Vitamin C requirements, which is crucial in iron metabolism. I am also getting all the benefits of phytonutrients to help prevent disease and to keep my body working at its optimum.

If you are part of the 90% struggling to meet your daily vegetable and fruit requirements (which are 5 – 7 serves of vegetables and 2 serves of fruit. Serving size being 75g) or you feel overwhelmed on how to add more serves to your day, take a look at Superfood Greens and Reds*. It is pure, plant-based, and has a soft kiwi and strawberry flavour. Popping a teaspoon into a glass of water to help you meet your nutritional needs … I don't think it could get any easier!
